Important Announcement for Students – Final Arrival & Enrolment Deadline (New Zealand)

OSAI Consultants would like to inform all students travelling to New Zealand about the important deadlines for arrival and enrolment.

📅 Final Date to Arrive & Complete Enrolment

The final deadline for students to arrive in New Zealand and complete their enrolment is:

🗓 13 March (Close of Business – NZT)

Students who receive their visa before this deadline and plan to travel after 6 March must inform the university in advance so enrolment arrangements can be prepared before arrival.

Failure to arrive and enrol by this deadline may require students to defer to the next available intake.

🎓 Orientation for Late Arrivals

  • The online orientation held on 25 February will not be repeated.
  • However, the International Student Services Office may arrange a separate orientation session for late-arriving students.

Students are advised to stay in contact with the university for further updates.

🏫 Be Ready for the Start of Classes

Students who already have their visa — or expect to receive it soon — must plan to:

  • Be physically present on campus
  • Complete full enrolment
  • Be ready to start classes on Monday, 2 March

Attending from the first day is strongly recommended to avoid academic or visa complications.

📌 Arrival Deadlines by Programme Type

🎓 180-Point, 240-Point & Undergraduate Programme Students

  • Must arrive and complete enrolment by 13 March (5:00 PM NZT)
  • The Student Centre operates Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (NZT)
  • Students who fail to meet the deadline will need to defer their offer

🎓 120-Point Programme Students

Students enrolled in a 120-point programme should:

  • Consult Immigration New Zealand or OSAI Consultants
  • Understand how late arrival may impact eligibility for a Post-Study Work Visa
  • Ensure they are on campus and actively studying from 2 March 2026

Late arrival may affect future work visa eligibility, so timely travel is strongly advised.

⚠️ Important Reminder from OSAI Consultants

We strongly recommend all students:

Secure your visa as early as possible
Book travel immediately after visa approval
Inform the university if arriving after 6 March
Plan to attend classes from day one
