Pre-CAS Interview Update – University of Sunderland 

The University of Sunderland has introduced an important update to its admissions process for selected postgraduate programmes. A Pre-CAS Interview will now be required for applicants applying to specific courses.

What’s Changing?

  • A mandatory Pre-CAS interview will be introduced for all applicants to certain MSc programmes.
  • This applies to:
    • New applicants
    • Existing offer holders
  • Detailed guidance about the interview process will be shared soon.

MSc Project Management

Applicants should have a background in:

  • Business-related degrees
  • Computing-related degrees
  • Engineering

MSc International Business Management

Accepted backgrounds include:

  • Business-related degrees
  • Political Studies

MSc Human Resource Management

Applicants should hold:

  • Business-related degrees
  • Political Studies

MSc Tourism Management

Required background:

  • Tourism-related degree

MSc Digital Marketing and Analytics

Accepted fields include:

  • Marketing
  • Business & Marketing
  • E-Commerce
  • Data and Analytical degrees (e.g. Economics, Mathematics)
  • Creative and Design-based degrees

MSc Finance & Management

Relevant backgrounds:

  • Accounting / Finance
  • Business
  • Quantitative and STEM programmes (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering)

Important Note

  • The entry requirement changes apply only to new applications.
  • Applicants who already hold an offer will continue to be processed as usual, without any changes to their academic requirements.
