Update – English Requirements for Offshore Applications
CTI will now require an official English language test (such as IELTS, PTE, or an equivalent qualification) for all offshore applications, regardless of country level.
A minimum overall score of IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) will be required for all courses.
This update aligns with current regulations and expectations of the Department of Home Affairs, ensuring stronger student applications and appropriate risk management throughout the admissions process.
Student Support – Tuition Deduction Offer
To support students with this additional requirement, CTI will provide a $500 AUD tuition fee deduction. This discount will be applied once the student visa is approved, helping to offset the cost of the English language test.

Onshore Application Requirements (Unchanged)
For onshore applicants, the English language requirements remain the same:
- Internal placement test OR Upper Intermediate/Advanced certificate for Level 1 and Level 2 countries
- Official English test required for Level 3 countries
- IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) for Certificate courses
- IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) for Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses
