Rising Scholars Grant – Key Details

University Canada West (UCW) is pleased to announce the newly launched Rising Scholars Grant for eligible international undergraduate students enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications programs in 2026.

Eligible Applicants: 

This grant is open to international applicants who are citizens of the following countries: Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Türkiye, Venezuela, and Vietnam — as well as international students who have been residing in Canada for at least one year.

Applicable Programs:

• Bachelor of Commerce
• Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications

Grant Value: 

Award is disbursed as a tuition credit and prorated based on the number of academic credits required to complete the degree. If the student receives transfer credits (including PLAR), the total grant amount will be adjusted accordingly.

Delivery Mode Requirement: 

This grant applies to programs that are not online-only (i.e., it excludes formal online programs unless otherwise stated by UCW).

Conditions:

• Commence the program before the offer of admission expires
• Maintain the same program (no changes)
• Good academic standing
• Full-time enrolment status
• Pay all non-covered fees by due dates
